Everything You Need to Know About Heatmiser Wireless Thermostats
Wireless RF Thermostats
Wireless RF thermostats (e.g. Heatmiser Slimline‑RF or the NeoAir V3-M) send temperature and scheduling commands over radio — meaning no extra wall‑wiring is needed. Perfect for renovation or retrofit jobs, they allow you to place the controller anywhere on the wall and still operate your water UFH system. Typical features include 7‑day scheduling, frost‑protection, holiday modes, temperature hold, and user-friendly settings.
Wireless Zone Wiring Centres / Control Hubs
These act as the “brain” of a multi‑zone UFH setup — receiving signals wirelessly from thermostats, then switching actuators, pumps, valves, and boiler output accordingly. A wiring centre (e.g. Heatmiser UH8-RF 8‑Zone Wiring Centre) lets you control multiple zones independently (up to 8 zones with UH8‑RF), and often includes a dedicated hot‑water or boiler output.
Wireless Receivers / RF Switches (for single‑zone or boiler control)
When you don’t need a full multi‑zone control hub, a wireless receiver (or RF switch) can accept thermostat signals and trigger the heating circuit or boiler — often used in simpler 1‑zone systems or to control hot water alongside UFH. They help keep installations clean and wiring minimal.
Battery‑Operated or App‑Compatible Wireless Thermostats
Some thermostats in the collection are battery‑powered and work with RF wiring centres or receivers — handy if you don’t have nearby power wiring. Others offer smart‑home or app‑control compatibility, combining convenience, remote access, and full control over your UFH schedule and zones.
Controls & Accessories — Sensors, Spare Receivers, Repeaters
Many wireless systems include or support external sensors (for air or floor temperature), as well as optional repeaters or antennas to extend signal range where walls or cupboards block radio. These extras ensure reliable control and system stability, even in tricky installs.
Why Wireless UFH Thermostats & Controls Are Important
Easy installation — no new wall‑wiring required, ideal for retrofits, renovations or finished homes.
Flexible room zoning & individual control — each room can have its own thermostat and schedule, maximising comfort and efficiency.
Simplifies multi‑zone systems — wiring centres and receivers centralise control for multiple zones, hot water, pumps and boiler.
Smart scheduling & energy savings — programmable thermostats with frost‑protection, holiday mode, and timed heating reduce energy waste.
Cleaner, minimal‑wiring setup — especially beneficial if the building is already finished, or wiring access is difficult.
